ACE ligands for the Okra bright green fluorescent RNA

ACE ligands are nonfluorescent in solution, but emit strong fluorescence upon forming tight complex with Okra RNA aptamer. The fluorescent RNA thus formed, Okra, is the brightest green fluorescent RNA tags currently availabe. Okra works well for visualization of RNAs of various species in live cells and live animal. 

Supplied as solid formulation. Reconstitute with DMSO (60 ul for S size, or 200 ul for L size as labeled on the vial) to make 1000X stock solutions.

We suggest users start with ACE, and HEK293T cells expressing Okra or Clivia Okra tandem arrays as positive control, before test your own cells and/or RNAs. As far as we know, cells of different origin expressing Okra alone or Okra array show  bright fluorescence and low background when stained with ACE . 

Important Notice: Customers should include at least one positive control plasmids (PET28F30OMCS1 for E. coli;  pAPU6-F30-Okra or PCDNA04OCHE1 for mammalian cells)  in their first order along with ACE dyes; alternatively, customers may order the Okra Fluorescent RNA starter kits (Cat#  PCDNA34KIT).
