Pre-made plasmids expressing BCAA sensor, highly responsive sensor for branched-chain
amino acids. The BCAA sensor displayed an 0.8-fold decrease and an 2.5-fold increase in fluorescence with excitation at 420 and 485 nm, respectively, upon leucine saturation. The
BCAA sensor also possessed high selectivity toward the other two branched-chain amino acids, i.e. isoleucine and valine . The opposing directional changes of this sensor led to
an 3.0-fold ratiometric change in fluorescence.
